NellyNuttons

NellyNuttons is an Alabama based cosplay artist. She has been cosplaying since attending her first convention in 2015, where she found her passion. Her specialty is sewing, but her talents also include prop crafting, wig styling, and historical costuming. She is dedicated and passionate about her craft and is always trying to learn new techniques and tricks of the trade, as well as share what she has learned with others. She hopes transforming into her favorite characters can bring others as much joy as it brings her.

In addition to greeting fans, NellyNuttons will present two panels during the convention: It's OK to be Bad at Cosplay and Adding History to your Cosplay.

Amanda Miller 

From voicing Cherche and Sully, the knight nicknamed "The Woman to End All Men" in Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Awakening to losing her ever-loving mind as Junko Enoshima and Toko Fukawa in the Danganronpa video game series, Amanda is best known for playing spunky, badass, and occasionally deranged heroines (and villains) in anime and video games. You can currently hear her as Sailor Jupiter in the Viz dub of Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal, and as Boruto Uzumaki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations airing on Toonami. She also plays the character of Jade and is the creator, writer, and producer of the paranormal comedy mockumentary series Ghosts 'n Stuff Inc on YouTube: www.youtube.com/ghostsnstuffinc

Petalwing Studio

Rika, the proprietor of Petalwing Studio, is a nerdy, pop culture-centered artist featured at many nerd conventions over the past 10 years as both an artist and cosplayer. She creates art to express her passion for the stories and characters she loves and connect with fellow fans who love them too.

In addition to filling the vendor hall with the amazingly beautiful art of Petalwing Studio, she will present two panels during the convention:

A Beginner's Guide to Digital Art - Making art using digital tools can be intimidating, but there are a set of basic concepts that can help you get started.

After Dark NSFW Shenanigans - an adult-only panel with our CEO, Martha Howard, AKA Little Red Fox Cosplay.

Miss OoLaLa

Miss OoLaLa is a Louisiana cosplayer with a passion for video games (especially classic RPGs), anime, Marvel, DC, Magic the Gathering, Star Wars, and is an aspiring voice over artist. 

Miss OoLaLa can be seen in her natural habitat at various anime conventions and comic-cons in the south, bringing her latest creations to cosplay competitions. Outside of cosplay, she works as a freelance voiceover  artist, and has worked as a radio host in different cities across south Louisiana. 

She has won awards for her cosplays of Raven from Teen Titans, Aerith from Final Fantasy VII, Princess Serenity from Sailor Moon, and most recently won the award for Best Intermediate Craftsmanship with a Panty and Stocking duo at CyPhaCon. She's also won two Arda Wigs contests and is a published cosplay model in several magazines.

Fighting Owl Films

Fighting Owl Films has been making indie films in the Mobile area for over fifteen years. Their numerous short and feature films have screened in festivals throughout the country, including Spooky Empire and Tromafest. They have also enjoyed critical acclaim from publications such as Fangoria, Film Threat, Dread Central and many more. Awards include 1st Runner Up Best Horror Short for NIGHT OF THE KRAMPUS at the prestigious Rondo Hatton Awards, and the Audience Award for Best Horror Feature Film for BACKWOODS in Mr. HoleHead's Warped Dimension film festival. Most notably, feature film DEMON SQUAD was riffed by the bots as Mystery Science Theatre 3000's Experiment 1306--which marked the return of original host Joel Hodgson. The episode was an unexpected hit, and at the urging of the MSTies (MST3K fans), a Kickstarter campaign for a sequel was launched in April 2023. It raised 150% of its goal and is slated to begin production in 2024. Many of the companies films can be found on Tubi, Amazon Prime, TromaNow, Roku, and on DVD.

Flatline Comics

Amanda Rachels' love of horror films and comics heavily influenced her own comics work, including horror epics Vicious Circus and Flesh of White, and her very own anthology volumes entitled  Amandatory. She regularly provides freelance cover and commission art and, together with partner Kevin LaPorte, is a full-time comics publisher at Flatline Comics. Based in Fairhope, Alabama, Amanda has been in the business of comics since childhood. When not on the convention circuit or pursuing her love of haunted travel she can be found at in her studio working on the next volume of Vicious Circus or drawing on a live stream. Amanda is currently working on “Vicious Circus: Big House Big Top” which is the third full length graphic novel in the Vicious Circus Series. She is also preparing to release a new volume of the Amandatory Anthology. She is regularly live drawing on WhatNot to an enthusiastic audience.

13.Katz 

After attending a local con, 13.Katz dived into the cosplay scene in 2014. What started as modifying

purchased cosplays led to an enriching hobby of messing with makeup and crafting crazy cosplays, often times from scratch. Her jack of all trades experience spans from basic sewing and foam work to unusual projects like creating yarn wig helmets. But her favorite part about cosplay has always been learning how to make things work, and then being able to share that knowledge through panels and social media! In addition to presenting the super special secret project, 13.Katz will present two panels during the convention: Cosplay Care 101 and Cosplay Wigs 101

Astrolenz 

Astrolenz is a 25 year old LGBT and disabled cosplayer from the heart of Cajun Country (South Louisiana). They have been cosplaying for 6 years and guested at multiple conventions throughout the South.

They are the cosplay coordinator for Ba-Con and Kadabra Con in Texas and the cosplay content manager for AnimeSecrets. Astrolenz is known for wig styling, prop making, and modifying cosplay. They have a variety of cosplay work from anime, cartoons,  and video games such as Genshin Impact, Bungo Stray Dogs, and Avatar the Last Airbender.

Outside of cosplay, Len is currently working as a middle school math teacher and pursuing their master’s degree in school counseling.

405th Infantry Division 

 The 405th Infantry Division is the world's costume community for all things from the Halo video game franchise, and they can show you how!

Members of the 405th have shared the spotlight in promoting and spearheading the Halo franchise. From game launches to the red carpet premiere of the Paramount+ Halo series, members of the 405th, through their hard work, have garnered significant recognition from 343 and Microsoft. 

It is a positive and supportive community that strives to help anyone and everyone build their character through Armor, Honor, and Unity. Members of the 405th Southern Regiment will be on hand to answer questions about how to build the props and armor and how you can join.

Members of the 405th will also host panels on armor making and Halo armor specifically.

 The Bearded Bear Entertainment team will be joining us for the 2023 Convention and they'll be recording a live episode of their podcast at Azalea City Con!

Join them as they interview panel attendees about their favorite fandoms, heroes and other things nerdy.

The Bearded Bear Entertainment team is a group of nerds that try to spread nerdy knowledge and love for nerdy things through their podcasts, various social medias and live events.

The Bear and The Beard podcast is a group of nerds talkin' nerdy things, occasionally with their friends and guests, in a nerdy roundtable style discussion show that is topical, comedic and somewhat informative.

It's all about having fun while sharing opinions and spreading love throughout all the fandoms in an attempt to end toxicity.

Brethren of the Southern Shores 

Brethren of the Southern Shores (B.O.S.S.) is a fun group of likeminded pirate enthusiasts that have amassed the friendliest, most active pirate crew on the Gulf Coast.  B.O.S.S. is an active group with many appearances booked out a year in advance.

They have their own beautiful encampment at the Alabama Medieval Fantasy Festival and can be found working with the History Museum of Mobile, Fort Conde, Wales West Railroad, local libraries, Gauthier MulletFest, Mobile International Festival and many others throughout the year.

In addition to greeting fans, B.O.S.S. will present two panels during the convention including singing Sea Shanties! They might even draw the attention of a mermaid or two!

Steven Moore 

Steven Moore has been illustrating since he was a kid and has had several jobs working as a professional artist, including screen printing, ad specialties, web design, and graphics. He has always enjoyed creating sci-fi, fantasy, comic, and cartoon art, and a few years ago, he expanded to 3D sculpting and printing as a new medium.

Steven will be at his table in Artist Alley at Azalea City Con all weekend, where he’ll be glad to share what he’s learned about 3D sculpting, printing, and painting with whoever wishes to chat. In addition to being a guest Artist, Steven plans to present a panel or two about 3D Printing.
